I had the honor of being able to watch and follow the Chief after he left the court. These are photos taken in the tunnel and some in the dressing room after his final perfomance this season.

Ogala Luncheon

This was the scholarship luncheon hosted by the Council of Chiefs on September 9th in Champaign prior to the first home football game. The luncheon was to announce the creation of the Frank's Fools Crow Scholarship fund at the Ogala Lakota College in Kyle, South Dakota. College President Thomas Shortbull was in attendance.

The most recent Chief Illiniwek Tryouts were held in May of 2006 in Champaign. A bunch of former Chief plus school administrators helped to choose the new Chief, Dan Maloney, and his assistant Chief.

USA Basketball

I was fortunate to attend the USAB State Farm Challenge event in Las Vegas and spent time with some of the players and coaches. What a great event and let me tell you, almost every guy on the team is incredibly nice and considerate. Tear 'em up! Go USA!

Basketball already?

Let's get ready to rumble!

The Big 10/ACC Challenge is all set this year with Illinois taking on the Clemson Tigers at home on December 2 at 7:00 PM. It'll be televised on ESPN-2.

Let's see, this pretty much means we're the middle of the pack featured event. We're on Wednesday at 9:00 and we're not on ESPN.

Oh well. I'd rather be playing at home where we have a better chance of winning this year, but oh the days of playing against the #1 at home...with the chief.
